A few Italian websites are covering today the alleged interest of Arsenal and Inter Milan in Newcastle United star Miguel Almiron.
This story is originally coming from the Paraguayan media, and after taking a look at it, we reckon it may not be worth all the hype it’s getting.
The only person to report was journalist Luis Enrique Perez. He indeed claimed that following a reasonable season in the Premier League, Almiron has drawn the interest from Arsenal and Inter Milan.
But that has been all in the Paraguayan media for now. Not even the radio station he works for has reported it on their Twitter or on their website.
Miguel Almiron has been surrounded by big transfer rumours for his entire career. He’s been heavily linked to Manchester United in the past, and even a transfer to Arsenal was claimed back in 2018.
Back in 2016, his agent confirmed an approach from the Gunners in an interview with Sport Witness. So this is a story which seems to be on every two years.
