The Brazilian media today shares some positive news regarding Newcastle United star Bruno Guimarães.
According to ESPN Brasil, the midfielder’s injury is just a ‘minor problem’ for the Magpies, since it’s ‘less serious than imagined’.
With the player leaving the pitch of the match against Fulham in tears, it seemed like he’d be sidelined by Newcastle for a long time.
However, ESPN Brasil says the examinations show he’s only staying out for a few days.
It’s said it’s confirmed he’ll be missing the match against Crystal Palace on Saturday, but is working to ‘be available’ in the EFL Cup semi-final against Southampton next week.
The report claims Newcastle can even count on the player’s special collaboration for that, as besides the daily treatment he gets at the club, he also works with his personal physiotherapist.
Bruno Guimarães has been a starter in all of Newcastle’s games this season, apart from the four matches he missed due to a thigh injury between August and September.
With the Magpies working hard towards their first title following the club’s takeover, it makes sense for him to hurry for the EFL Cup clash, although they will have to be wary to not rush him back too quickly.
