Leeds United and Newcastle United have their eyes on Real Valladolid duo Gonzalo Plata and Iván Fresneda.
That’s according to Pucela Fichajes, who say the pair are ‘in the sights’ of the Premier League duo and that Plata is marked ‘in red’ on their lists.
They explain that the two players are the club’s ‘most marketable players’ and their performances have seen them end up on the radar of clubs around Europe.
Leeds and Newcastle are two of the sides to have noticed them and they are ‘both interested’ in making moves for them.
Real Valladolid are aware of that interest and the fact the two players could represent ‘important sales’ for the club but they are not interested in any departures as yet.
They would only sell either player if they were to receive ‘a very good offer’ for them, something which is a possibility with Fresneda who has a ‘large number of teams’ chasing his signature.
Plata, on the other hand, seems unlikely to depart after a ‘discreet World Cup’, something which the player himself has admitted to.
At the moment the chances of him moving in the January transfer window are low, despite the fact that Leeds and Newcastle both have him marked ‘in red’ on their agendas.
