Neymar is looking unlikely to end up at Manchester United this summer as ‘negotiations have stalled’ over the player’s wages.
That’s according to Sport, who say the Brazilian’s ‘demands’ for his salary have left the transfer looking difficult for Manchester United to pull off.
United had found themselves linked with a move for Neymar over the last few weeks, with increasing rumours that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
Neymar is reportedly thinking about bringing his time in Paris to an end but, according to Sport’s information, his wage demands are causing issues in his search for a new club.
United have done the numbers to see if they could make a deal happen and bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford but worked out, they could only meet his demands if they were to signing him on long-term contract.
That is something they, and other clubs, are unwilling to do given he is now 31 years old and his performances have not been great for several seasons.
There are also concerns about his fitness as the player has only managed one season with more than thirty games since joining PSG.
Thus, paying him what he wants is not really an option, which has seemingly led to negotiations stalling for the time being.
