Wolverhampton Wanderers have positioned themselves to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Noha Lemina, who is set to be recalled from an unsuccessful loan spell at Sampdoria.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who say ‘negotiations are open’ for the 18-year-old, who is the brother of Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina.
The newspaper reports that Lemina’s loan deal at Sampdoria is ‘not going as planned’, so a solution is being sought by all parties so that the 18-year-old can finish the season at a new club.
Wolves, where his brother Mario plays, have ‘positioned themselves in recent days’ to welcome the attacking midfielder to Molineux this month. There is no mention of what type of deal that might be, for instance whether a loan may include a purchase option, but ‘negotiations are open’.
Indeed, it is gearing up to be a busy month of comings and goings for Gary O’Neil’s side, who has already seen Fabio Silva depart on loan to Rangers and also appear set to let Sada Kalajdzic depart too.
On that front, journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that VfL Wolfsburg have joined Eintracht Frankfurt in showing interest in the Austrian.
According to his information, they have ‘intervened and enquired’ about the striker, despite there being a verbal agreement in place with Frankfurt.
They remain the hottest option for the forward but Wolfsburg are interested in a loan move this month and are also ready to make a move to try and secure his signature.
