Loaned to AS Roma until the end of the season by Juventus, Dean Huijsen has caught the attention of a number of clubs with his performances, including Aston Villa.
This comes from Gazzetta dello Sport, who list the clubs who are taking an interest in the young centre-back, as he is currently enjoying a ‘positive’ temporary spell away from Turin.
Aston Villa are in there, alongside RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, as the newspaper discuss whether or not the player could be of use to Juventus next season.
They are already working on trying to renew Daniele Rugani, and could possibly promote the 18-year-old, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will be staying.
They add that for the youngster, ‘much will depend on the offers’ that arrive for his services in the summer, with Aston Villa told they would need a fee of around €30-35m to convince the Serie A giants, as that is what they value him at.
Whether that is a fee Monchi and Unai Emery would be prepared to pay for Huijsen isn’t stated, but they will also have to decide whether they want to keep Clément Lenglet from Barcelona after his loan at Villa Park.
Perhaps foregoing the purchase of the Frenchman could mean focusing on the youngster? We’ll have to wait and see.
