Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traoré continues to be on Napoli’s agenda for the next window.
That’s according to Area Napoli, who state the Serie A winners will take the winger if Hirving Lozano doesn’t accept to lower his salary to sign a new contract. The Mexican’s current deal is until 2024.
Traoré’s contract at Wolves expires on June 30th and as it stands, he’s set to leave the Molineux as a free agent.
It’s claimed Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis likes the 27-year-old ‘a lot’. Those close to the chief have said that if it were up to him, he would ‘immediately take’ the Spaniard.
The former Barcelona man, for his part, is ‘fascinated’ by the idea of moving to the Naples club. A potential move will depend on whether or not Lozano signs a new contract at the Italian club.
Luciano Spalletti will leave Napoli and his successor is yet to be appointed. Another factor for the Wolves player’s arrival in Italy would be the next Napoli manager’s opinion and it will be crucial before making an approach for Traoré.
Without a renewal, Traoré is set to leave Wolves in the summer. If that were to be the case, it needs to be seen where he’ll end up next season.
