Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are being named by the German media as two potential destinations for RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo.
The story comes from Bild, who claim that while the midfielder has been in great form, these could be his final months at the Bundesliga side.
Even though Barcelona have always been pointed out as suitors for his signing, it’s made clear that the Catalan side can’t afford his transfer.
That’s where Manchester City and Tottenham come in, as it’s ‘rich Premier League clubs’ who could pay his €60m release clause.
Manchester City are said to be the ‘hottest lead’. Olmo is apparently on their list and Pep Guardiola’s presence, success and good finances makes them a ‘more likely destination’. There’s also the fact that they have a good relationship with RB Leipzig, especially after the talks for Josko Gvardiol last year.
Still, Bild highlight the competition from Tottenham, who ‘also have their eye’ on Olmo. They’d just have to gather some very good arguments to make the player choose them.
Olmo has seven goals and four assists in 20 appearances for RB Leipzig this season, and recently went viral with his amazing goal against Brazil.
