Earlier this month, we covered claims from Spain that Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to make an offer for Real Betis’ Pablo García.

Estadio Deportivo now report Vítor Pereira’s side are ‘willing to make a strong bid’ for the winger. There’s no mention of the fee Wolves are ready to offer for García, who has a €30m clause.

Journalists Alejandro Vega and Alejandro Sáez analyse whether the 18-year-old should be part of Manuel Pellegrini’s core plans or move to Wolves this summer.

García graduated from the La Liga club’s academy and was promoted to the senior team earlier this year. He played 51 minutes from five games, and Vega argues the youngster should continue his development with the reserve team.

Sáez believes Manuel Pellegrini should give the Spain U21 international opportunities in the new season, like he did with Jesús Rodríguez last season. If that were to happens, he claims the attacker won’t be a regular but can still play an important role.

Both Vega and Sáez insist García will eventually became a regular if he were to continue at the Spanish club.

Therefore, Estadio claims losing García to Wolves or another club will be a significant blow sporting wise while it can be financially beneficial for Real Betis. In short, Pellegrini’s side have mixed emotions over the possibility of losing the youngster.
