Uruguay’s El Pais newspaper has an article today on Manuel Ugarte’s future, and him being ‘closer’ to signing for Manchester United, which they kick off by saying he was the country’s best player at the Copa America.
On top of that, they believe he was one of the ‘most outstanding’ performers across the whole tournament, hence him getting into the ideal team.
El Pais report PSG and Manchester United got closer in negotiations over the weekend. The French club are said to be lowering their demands, and Ugarte himself is pushing for the move to Old Trafford.
Jorge Mendes is working between United and PSG to try and formulate a deal between the two clubs, whilst El Pais report Jorge Chijane, Ugarte’s personal agent, is with the player whilst the drama unfolds and can therefore work on personal terms.
It’s worth nothing that earlier today we covered claims from France that the midfielder had been left out of PSG training today. Luis Enrique isn’t a fan, and the Uruguay internationa’s his future in the air he was kept away from the main group.
Things appear to be moving in the right direction.
