As AC Milan and Napoli face each other in the Champions League on Wednesday night, the Italian media highlights the fact that the clubs have some combats in the transfer market as well.
It’s Calciomercato who features a story about those disputes, and one of them is for the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore.
The 27-year-old is seen as the great possibility of landing a player on a free transfer, and according to the story, both clubs were ‘offered’ him by his agent Jorge Mendes.
Traore could still sign a new contract with Wolves, but with no signs of a deal yet, Italian clubs are just waiting for that possibility in the summer window.
Since returning from his loan at Barcelona last season, the winger has three goals and two assists in 33 appearances.
He may not be having his best year at the Molineux, but losing him for free is still certainly a big blow for Wolves.
That’s because he’s still valued by Transfermarkt at €12m, and will certainly hurt them by walking for free after five years belonging to the club.
