If you’ve been keeping up on the mass exodus currently taking place at Leeds United, you’ll know that Marc Roca is one of the players looking to leave.
Real Betis have been after him for most of the transfer window so far, with multiple reports stating an agreement had been found with the Spaniard, but the Spanish club were waiting to offload players of their own before sealing the deal.
Well, an update from Florian Plettenberg suggests a deal is around the corner, as the midfielder is now ‘on the verge’ of moving to the La Liga side.
There had been some talks about a permanent signing, but the deal has now changed, and it will be a one-year loan without an option to buy, meaning Roca should return to Leeds at the end of the campaign.
All that’s left is for the ‘last details to be clarified’, meaning we really close to an official confirmation.
First, though, the Leeds midfielder needs to undergo the compulsory checks, with a ‘medical soon’ to take place before he can sign the contract at his new club.
One to certainly keep an eye on in the next few hours (or days).

There were more rounds of negotiations in the last days as Betis tried to get him on permanent deal.
