Manchester United’s Italian scouts have taken notice of Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca, and he is a name to keep an eye on moving forwards.

That’s according to Sportmediaset, who report that Manchester United have joined the big sides in Italy in watching the 24-year-old.

Lucca has been earning a growing list of admirers this season thanks to his performances in Serie A, with ten goals and two assists in 30 games to date.

He’s been a big hit since joining Udinese in 2023, initially on loan before the move was made permanent for €8m in the summer transfer window. He has 21 goals and six assists in 72 games in all competitions for the Italian side to date.

He’s already been linked with a move to the Premier League as a result and now Manchester United are following him too.

Sportmediaset report that United’s Italian scouts have taken notice of the striker as they’ll be hunting for a new striker this summer. They’ve joined Inter Milan and Napoli in showing an interest in the striker.

Lucca reflects the new plan at Old Trafford as he is young and with ‘fairly low costs’, making him a potentially ideal signing for Ruben Amorim’s side.

For now, Manchester United are just watching but the fact that they are is something that the Italian sides need to be wary of.
