For the past few days, reports coming out of the Italian media explained that Juventus have joined Manchester United in the chase for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.
The midfielder has a deal until 2024, with an option to extend it for a year. He’s expected to leave the Serie A side and this has repeated throughout the summer window.
La Nazione, relayed by Labaro Viola, now explain Juve and Manchester United’s plans to sign the 26-year-old.
It’s said Erik ten Hag’s side will ‘certainly’ make a formal offer for Amrabat after August 15th, without specifying as to why they would only make a bid after that date.
The Europe Conference League finalists have requested €25m. La Nazione state it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will meet their demand or will try to lower the fee for the Morocco international towards the end of the window.
Manchester United have to be wary about Juventus, who are concretely evaluating the possibility to sign him. The report states they are consider to sign Amrabat by offering their own player plus a fee to Fiorentina.
In other words, it’s a complex operation for Juve. This would give Manchester United an advantage, as long as they want to make a formal offer to sign Amrabat.
