Doubts around Andre Onana’s future at Manchester United have led to the Red Devils being linked with multiple goalkeepers over the past few weeks.
Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi is said to be one of the names on the shortlist and Gazzetta dello Sport cover the potential transfer today.
The newspaper reports Manchester United have come forward to understand the conditions of a move for the 24-year-old and have been informed that they need a fee of €50m to land him.
Earlier claims stated the player would cost more than €40m, and €50m has been the settled figure over the past few days.
Manchester United have not made an offer, with the contact initiated to find out the conditions, and Gazzetta state the club will now be aware of that €50m cost.
As of now, the Bergamo club are not really looking around for potential replacements, and it’s believed the €50m is scaring Manchester United away and encouraging them to consider other options instead.
The idea isn’t dead, just put to one side for now.
