Earlier on Tuesday, we covered an article from Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that Véronique Rabiot would be willing to listen to Manchester United’s offer for her son.
The Juventus player’s mother is also his agent, and while it didn’t seem to take too long for the Serie A side and their Premier League counterparts to find some sort of agreement over a transfer, all eyes were turned on the talks that would follow.
Mrs Rabiot is well known to be a tough negotiator, always wanting what’s best for her progeny, but it appears there was a lot of anticipation for nothing, as it all seems to be falling into place.
That’s according to Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti, who took to Twitter to say there was ‘positive contact between Manchester United and Rabiot’s entourage today’, and while there is ‘no agreement yet’, the dialogue is ‘developing positively’.

That will be good news for the club themselves, seeing as they and their manager, Erik ten Hag, seem keen to get this done over the line and quickly, but it’s fair to say the Old Trafford faithful may need a bit more convincing going forward if this transfer were to take place.
