It seems Manchester United are getting a boost in their chase for Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee.

Following many reports in the past few days about the Red Devils interest, journalist Rudy Galetti now shares some interesting updates on the pursuit.

He claims that AC Milan, who had been fighting Manchester United for the signing, have now decided to withdraw from the negotiations.

It’s no secret that the player’s agent has been demanding a huge commission, and with the Rossoneri considering it too high, that ‘blocked’ any positive outcome for them.

Galetti adds something about Manchester United, claiming the Red Devils have actually been ‘progressing quickly and well’ in the talks for Zirkzee.

The player reportedly has a €40m release clause at Bologna, and that’s why many clubs have been interested in his situation. The problem is the commission requested by Kia Joorabchian, with the Italian media saying that’s worth €15m.

With Milan not willing to pay that, that could turn into an open path for Manchester United, who now seem to lead the race for the centre-forward.
