Having attracted interest from Galatasaray, Fulham and other clubs, Fred could leave Manchester United this summer.
On Monday, Takvim reported the Istanbul club are keen to sign the midfielder and their vice-president, Erden Timur, is scheduled to travel to England to hold talks with the Red Devils.
Milliyet’s Galatasaray correspondent Nevzat Dindar states the Turkish champions want to sign the 30-year-old for the No.8 position.
He also claims Galatasaray will face competition from Fulham and other clubs to sign the Manchester United player.
According to Dindar, the Brazilian international has ‘said yes’ to Galatasaray and Erik ten Hag’s side are now ‘waiting’ for an offer from them to sanction his sale.
The journalist also states Fred has received offers from Marco Silva’s side and an unnamed club[s] from Saudi Arabia.
The South American’s deal expires in 2024 and Dindar states his asking price went down from €20m to €10m… which feels on the low side. Despite this, Galatasaray still not can’t meet this request, but the negotiations will continue.
Fred featured regularly for Manchester United last season, managing six goals and six assists from 56 games.
