There’s some exciting news for Manchester United supporters on Friday afternoon and it’s coming all the way from Turkey.
Very well connected journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reports the Peremier League club are moving for one of the Turkish Super Lig’s biggest stars.
Ferdi Kadıoğlu starred for Fenerbahce last season and managed to keep his form going into the Euros for his national side. That saw the Turkey player receive a growing list of admirers, with many of those interested clubs coming from the Premier League.
Previously it’s been said Fener are looking for around €35m to part ways with their star, and Brighton & Hove Albion have been the club linked most strongly this week.
That is… until Yağız Sabuncuoğlu brought Manchester United in.
He says the Red Devils have met with the left-back’s agents, wanting to know what type of contract he’d want if they were able to agree a fee with Fener.
Previous reports have made it clear Kadıoğlu is tempted by a move to the Premier League despite his current club being keen on a renewal.
