Manchester United have shown an interest in Real Betis youngster Luiz Henrique after his impressive performances for the Spanish side this season.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say there is growing interest in the Brazilian, but Betis are not interested in a sale.
They report that Henrique has ‘caught the eye’ of international football with his recent performances in the Super Cup and Manchester United are one of the sides following him.
The 22-year-old, who arrived in the summer in a deal from Fluminense, is a ‘diamond in the rough’ that Manuel Pellegrini is polishing day by day.
The Spanish side believe his value is rising day by day but has no ceiling and they are ‘rubbing their hands’ together at a potential deal in future.
His development has not gone unnoticed in the Premier League, where Manchester United are ‘following his steps’ with attention.
They have already sent scouts to follow his performances live and these trips have only confirmed that he is worth keeping an eye on.
Manchester United’s interest is not an open one as yet, making a ‘discreet follow up’ after initial overtures for him. They have the youngster ‘well noted’ by their scouts.
That suits Betis as they are not interested in a sale at this moment in time. They don’t want to let the Brazilian go just yet and would prefer to keep developing him to help his value continue to rise.
