Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso has been linked to Manchester City in the winter market.

Last Wednesday, we covered claims from Italy which stated Manchester City’s offer can cause ‘upheaval’ at the Serie A club.

The left-back missed Sunday’s win over Empoli due to an ankle injury and was also absent from training leading to this tie.

With Manchester City hovering, Calciomercato state there were concerns among some fans over losing him before Monday’s deadline.

Those close to the 24-year-old have informed the outlet that he’s been struggling with his ankle for a month. They insist he had to stop on certain occasions through fear of making it worse.

The Italy international moving to Manchester City on deadline day would have been ruled out.

Calciomercato state the Premier League club have postponed signing the Juventus player until the summer. That’s mainly because Pep Guardiola ‘doesn’t want to give up’ on Cambiaso.

Juve also seem to be convinced the Citizens will return for him at the end of this season, when the latter can have more time to deal with this case.

The Italian club requested €80m in this window and perhaps it will be less in the next window.
