AS state the 28-year-old would only leave Pep Guardiola’s side for the Champions League winners. He would be ‘very tempted’ to be part of the Spanish club’s project.
It’s claimed the player would be ‘clear to take a radical turn’ in his career if Pep Guardiola were to leave the Etihad after this season.
Transfermarkt values him at €130m and the newspaper claims Real Madrid would need a fee around this region to sign him. Ancelotti’s side are moving cautiously and won’t take decisive steps anytime soon.
Rodri’s agent Pablo Barquero maintains a good relationship with the Spanish club. The representative has received calls from the Citizens to renew his contract. The report says ‘Rodri doesn’t rule it out’ as he can become one of the top earners at the Etihad.
Manchester City haven’t managed to convince Rodri to sign a new deal so far. Without a renewal, the Real Madrid links could continue to grow throughout the season.
