Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.
No approaches came from the Citizens but the Italian press has been insistent that Pep Guardiola’s side will come back in for the full-back in the summer.
TuttoSport have gone a step further about the situation and state that Manchester City will definitely make an offer for Cambiaso. In fact, they have already drawn up a contract for the Italian.
They also claim that the defender will double his current salary at the Etihad, with the Citizens willing to offer a wage packet of €5m per season in the summer.
More than that, there is an indication that Cambiaso will be quite attracted by the move. The report suggests that he had seriously ‘toyed’ with the idea of leaving Juventus for Manchester City in the summer when he was struggling with an ankle problem.
Now, the deal can close for a fee between €60m and €70m, which is lower than the €80m that the Citizens wanted in January.
The claims are quite confident from TuttoSport and they are also fairly certain that there is interest from other clubs as well.
