On Tuesday morning, German outlet Bild first reported that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner.
It was said Spurs are ‘now interested’ in the 48-year-old, there was ‘already contact’ to take him from the Bundesliga side, and he ‘will think about it’.
An update on Glasner’s future is now brought by Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, and that could be of interest to Tottenham fans.
It’s claimed that the manager wants to ‘take his time’ regarding a contract extension with Eintracht Frankfurt. That’s because despite the good relationship with director Markus Krosche, there’s still this ‘strong interest’ from England.
Plettenberg doesn’t directly mention Tottenham, but with this update coming just after the news about Spurs contacts with the manager, we can all see where the news is pointed at.
According to the report, there are no ‘concrete’ talks between Glasner and Frankfurt at this stage, although that ‘should follow’ in the next few weeks.
With the manager taking time to make a decision over his future, that time could also be enough to check whether Antonio Conte will actually leave the Tottenham job soon.
