Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim has talked to the press at the Turkish club’s training camp in Switzerland.
Terim has spoken about possible transfers in this window and he’s confirmed he wants to see Manchester City defender Jason Denayer in his team next season.
Milliyet have covered comments Terim made with regards to the Manchester City player: “The transfers of Nagatomo and Denayer are critical for us. We managed to sign Nagotomo, which is good, but we also need to sign Denayer. I hope he joins our team once again.”
Terim added: “But we need to act carefully. We still have time until the end of August. So we’ll see what happens.”
Denayer became a key player for Galatasaray after the arrival of Terim in December of last season, following a difficult first half of the season in Turkey, and the Belgian has previously stated he would like to stay at Galatasaray.
Talks between Galatasaray and Manchester City are said to be ongoing as both sides look to get an agreement.
The Premier League side are reportedly unsure about loaning Denayer again, which is the type of deal Galatasaray are looking for.
