Signed from Sevilla by Tottenham a few years ago, Bryan Gil has not really had the best time in London since his arrival.

It has been a mix of either sitting on the bench or spending time on loan back in Spain, first at Valencia and then his former club last season.

He enjoyed himself in Sevilla, and it’s clear that there’s a lot of love between the club and the player, which is why there is a thought about another reunion taking place this year, according to ABC Sevilla.

The newspaper look back at everything that’s happened between Gil and his ex-team over the years, and while the new La Liga season is edging closer, the deal could happen late.

That’s what the newspaper state, as they claim that it is in the ‘final stretch of the transfer window’ that the Sevilla manager will have to wait for the conditions ‘of the option that best suits him’, which is a deal for the Tottenham winger.

They write that there is a clear ‘lack of talent’ up front in the Spanish team’s current squad, and while their manage is ‘trying to make the most of it’, some fresh blood is needed down the left.

Meanwhile, it’s said that Bryan Gil ‘will try to convince his new manager’, who is Ange Postecoglou, but it’s made clear it ‘will be difficult’, especially with Son Heung-min in the team and the arrival of Manor Solomon.

That’s why the idea of another move to Sevilla is brought up, and it’s made clear that José Luis Mendilibar ‘misses Bryan’ in his squad, and while ‘all parties share the same interest’, they are also aware that it will be difficult to bring him back at the moment.

Tottenham are said to be ‘keen to get the maximum return’ for the 22-year-old, and it’s recalled that Lazio were told they would need €25m to sign him.

As things stand, Spurs have ‘yet to agree to a loan deal’, which isn’t great for Sevilla, while Gil himself is ‘waiting and recovering from an injury’ that made him miss out on pre-season.

While his first port of call will be to ‘try and convince’ Postecoglou to use him, but with the aforementioned competition, ‘his solution may again be at the end of the summer’, with his former side ready to welcome him back.
