On Wednesday, La Nazione journalist Riccardo Galli stated Manchester United could wait until the last few days of the window to sign Sofyan Amrabat.
Later that day, Algemeen Dagblad reported the midfielder is ‘on his way’ to Liverpool after they managed to get ahead of the Red Devils in the transfer race.
Alfredo Pedullà relays claims made elsewhere about the Reds’ approach and then states the 26-year-old has ‘always waited’ for Manchester United.
He states Erik ten Hag’s side have an agreement in place with the Morrocco international and ‘plan to close’ the deal for him after getting rid of Scott McTominay or Donny van de Beek.
Manchester United are aware of the fee needed to sign Amrabat, who is in a ‘hurry’ to get a move for himself.
The Old Trafford club could sign two midfielders, depending on exits. Pedullà states there have been contacts with Bayern Munich in the ‘last few hours’ for Ryan Gravenberch, who hasn’t changed his mind about leaving the Bundesliga side.
Pedullà adds the former Ajax man has received an offer from Liverpool but he would like to reunite with Ten Hag at Manchester United. This was also reported by Foot Mercato on Wednesday.
Gravenberch is managed by Team Raiola and his agents may have leaked the information to Pedullà about Manchester United’s approach for the 21-year-old.
