Manchester United’s chase for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard seems to be moving pretty quickly.
With early reports from Germany saying the Red Devils had started ‘concrete talks’ for the signing, stories from the French media soon said the first offer should be delivered in the coming days.
Now it’s time for a new update on this pursuit, with Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg saying Manchester United are the ‘favourites’ to sign Pavard from Bayern.
According to the report, there are concrete and positive talks taking place right now, with the player having a valuation of around €30m.
Now even though Pavard wants a move, Manchester United may find some resistance from Bayern. Plettenberg points out that club manager Thomas Tuchel wants to keep the player, and he’d be a ‘massive loss’ for them.
So even though the price seems reasonable, either the Red Devils or Pavard himself may have to force a little to get it done.
