On November 14th, Sport reported Manchester United have watched Dinamo Zagreb’s Dani Olmo in action on several occasions and the Red Devils have even ‘knocked on the door’ of the Croatian club for the 20-year-old.

Another Catalan newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, has a story about the Spain U21 international and it’s claimed that apart from Jose Mourinho’s side, their local rivals Manchester City are also in the race for the player.

The Premier League winners have joined Bayern Munich to ask about the player’s situation.

Pep Guardiola is said to know that Olmo could ‘adapt perfectly’ to his system at the Etihad because of his Barcelona DNA. The player spent seven years at the Spanish champions’ academy before joining Dinamo in 2014.

Mundo also reports the Blaugrana leaders met Olmo’s agent Juanma Lopez on Tuesday and are ready to make an exception to their rule of not re-signing players who left their academy.

They mention that Real Madrid are the most interested club in signing the Spaniard.

Dinamo have set a price tag of €25m, but that could be the starting price, considering there’s interest from several clubs for their youngster.
