Torino have rejected an offer from Liverpool for Perr Schuurs, according to Tuttosport.
Jürgen Klopp is an admirer of the defender, who snubbed the Reds before he joined the Serie A side in 2022.
It’s stated the manager has asked Liverpool to ‘take him at any cost’ in this summer window.
This has seen the Merseyside club make an offer of around €30m, which was turned down by Torino.
Tuttosport say the Turin club have rejected two offers, a €25m [plus €3m bonuses] bid from Napoli and a ‘clearly more decisive’ one from Liverpool.
Following Torino’s refusal, the report states the Premier League side ‘will return with a new proposal’ to sign the 23-year-old.
According to Tuttosport, Torino president Urbano Cairo would like to see an offer around €40m and it’s ‘not excluded’ that Liverpool will match it.
Despite receiving offers from the Italian champions and the English club, Schuurs isn’t in a hurry to decide his future.
A stay at Torino could help him further improve his game, while it may also be difficult for the Dutchman to reject the ‘irresistible seduction of the Premier League’.
