Earlier on Wednesday, we covered reports from Brazil which said Fluminense are preparing to receive an offer from Liverpool for the transfer of André.
It was claimed that the Rio de Janeiro side are still waiting for the Reds to place their bid, and despite being ‘close’ to doing that, they were still to make the move.
Now according to Gazeta Esportiva, Liverpool actually already told Fluminense they’re coming with their offer.
It’s said the Tricolor were warned that the bid will be delivered ‘in the next few days’, with the Reds putting €25m on the table.
Liverpool are said to be ‘closer to achieving a happy ending’, and André himself is on board with that, as he sees the move with ‘good eyes’, even though he’ll respect the Brazilian club’s decision.
What should lead to longer discussions is that Fluminense only want the player gone in January, while the Reds’s idea has always been to take him in the summer, midway through Brazil’s season.
So it seems the talks are about to get intense, but all that money should be enough for the Brazilian side to at least think about it.
