On Thursday morning, reports in the Portuguese media reawakened the links between Liverpool and Sporting defender Gonçalo Inácio.
It was said that besides being interested in Lions’ centre-back Ousmane Diomande, the Reds continue to follow the Portuguese player as well.
Now it’s the French media who brings some information on Inácio, with Sports Zone sharing an exclusive story which mentions Liverpool.
The outlet starts by claiming that Paris Saint Germain director Antero Henrique is interested in the Sporting player. Their priority is still Lille’s Leny Yoro, and then he shows up as a second option.
Then it’s claimed that Gonçalo Inácio was also offered to Liverpool, who’ve been following him for over a year. The outlet doesn’t mention how strong the Reds interest is, or how much each of those clubs would like to pay for his signing.
The Sporting player is protected by a €60m release clause, and that’s how much they’re expected to demand for his transfer. It’s worth pointing out that besides PSG, Newcastle are said to be interested in him as well.
