On Monday, Gianluca di Marzio reported Nottingham Forest have held talks with Juventus regarding a double move for Timothy Weah and winger Samuel Mbangula.

The Italian press has hopped on to that train and Gazzetta dello Sport have added some promising details to the situation.

The newspaper claims both Mbangula and Weah are awaiting the green light for the transfer, which they are very interested in. The belief is that their exits from Juventus are getting closer, with is described ‘almost imminent’.

Juve have put forward a request of €30m to Nottingham Forest for the duo, but the Tricky Trees are trying to iron out a deal for a package of €25m.

Nottingham Forest are encouraged to be optimistic about landing the duo. This is because Gazzetta claim Juve director Damien Comolli is currently ‘focused’ on moving on Weah and Mbangula and their sales will see the Turin earn a capital profit.

The negotiation has been described as ‘very hot’ and the intention is to close the deal quickly.
