It seems Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick isn’t going anywhere so soon.
For the past few days, there have been many stories on the youngster’s potential and the clubs who are already interested in him, with reports saying the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United got in touch with his entourage.
Endrick is only 15-years-of-age, and before signing a professional contract with Palmeiras, he could leave them for free, with a new club just paying training compensation.
However, in touch with journalist Jorge Nicola, his father now claimed that the teenager is signing his first deal with the Verdão. The report says there’s already an agreement in place and that will be made official in the summer, when the forward turns 16.
Endrick indeed had an impressive start at the Copa São Paulo, an U-21 tournament, with four goals in two games. He’s now left out due to a Covid-19 diagnosis, and it should be no surprise if he soon makes his debut for Palmeiras’ first team.
