Wesley França’s rise at Flamengo has seen several European clubs take notice, including Liverpool.

Last month, we covered claims from Brazil which stated the right-back has emerged as a ‘strong target’ for the Reds.

A fresh report from UOL covers Liverpool’s interest and the Brazilian club’s plan for the 21-year-old.

Wesley made 51 appearances last year and played nine matches so far this season. His performances have seen him earn a call up from Brazil manager Dorival Júnior for this international break.

Flamengo are aiming for him to become one of the ‘top 3’ sales in the club’s history. The current record is held by Vinicius Júnior, who was sold to Real Madrid for €45m in 2017, followed by Lucas Paquetá’s €35m sale to AC Milan in 2018.

The report states Flamengo are aiming to collect between €30-35m for Wesley, who is wanted by Liverpool, Barcelona and other clubs. His agent and the Brazilian club want to analyse the best proposal for the player.

UOL state Arne Slot’s side and Barcelona are among the clubs who have been monitoring Wesley for a while and have already made contact.

The interested parties have been told the conditions needed to sign the Brazilian in the summer window.

Liverpool could step up if Trent Alexander-Arnold decides to leave Anfield as a free agent.
