Two days ago, A Spor reported Galatasaray are looking at Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi for next season. It was also stated the Istanbul club had shown interest in him last summer but weren’t able to strike a deal with the Foxes.
This claim is backed up Takvim, who state Galatasaray will make another attempt to sign the 27-year-old in the summer and provide more updates on this case.
The midfielder’s future could be away from Leicester as he has less than six months left on his contract.
Enzo Maresca’s side are currently leading the Championship table and even if they were to return to the top flight, the Nigeria international could still leave the King Power Stadium.
Leicester haven’t tied the former Genk man to a new deal and it’s said he’s ‘keen to start a new chapter’ elsewhere from next season. The Turkish club, who previously had the player on their agenda, have returned for him.
According to Takvim, Galatasaray have ‘already started’ their attempts to sign Ndidi on a free transfer, and whether or not they’ll be successful remains to be seen.
Ndidi has scored four goals and registered six assists from 26 matches for Leicester City this season.
