Leicester City, Leeds United, Hull City and Burnley are all in the picture to sign Brahima Diarra this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
The 21-year-old hasn’t made an appearance since he featured for Huddersfield Town against Watford in February. His game time was limited last season as he was restricted to 719 minutes from 23 games.
Diarra has been without a club since his deal with the Terriers expired at the end of last month.
It’s claimed the Mali U23 international’s status as a free agent has been ‘appreciated’ by Leicester, Leeds, Hull City, Burnley and Chievo Verona.
As well as the Foxes and the Championship trio, teams from Belgium’s top flight, a top Serie A side and two Ligue 1 sides are also chasing the midfielder.
Diarra is currently in Paris, representing his country at the Olympics. He already featured in Mali’s 1-1 draw against Israel earlier this week and Foot Mercato say the player was able to ‘showcase his qualities’.
The midfielder’s aim is to impress at the Olympics and then make a decision on his next destination.
Leicester, Leeds, Hull City, Burnley and other interested parties would have to wait until Mali finish their campaign in Paris to find out about Diarra’s decision.
