Even if Ezgjan Alioski could still stay at Elland Road, Leeds United appear to be weighing up some options to replace the North Macedonian at left-back.

One of the new names on the block is Javi Galán, who currently plays at SD Huesca in Spain.

His side were relegated from La Liga, causing the release clause in his contract to halve from €8m to €4m, thus making him a far more appetising prize for interested clubs.

ABC Sevilla last week suggested Leeds were rather interested in the 26-year-old, and that is echoed by Radio Huesca on Wednesday.

The local outlet make it very clear that Leeds United are keen, and they state the ‘latest known information reveals a strong interest from the English team’ to sign the player for €4m.

They are joined by Sevilla, who would be ‘reluctant’ to trigger the clause, but that wouldn’t be a problem for the Premier League side, who would be ‘willing to, at least, shell out a larger amount’.

Still, no official move has been made, and Radio Huesca do point out ‘there is nothing beyond the rumours’ they are feeding with their information.
