Leeds United and Sevilla have identified SD Huesca’s Javi Galán as a target this summer.

The left-back has a year left on his contract that includes a release clause of €8m. However, the figure has now dropped to €4m after the Spanish club were relegated from La Liga.

That’s what ABC Sevilla are reporting and they add the 26-year-old is followed by Julen Lopetegui’s side.

It’s also stated several other major clubs are monitoring the defender, including three from the Premier League. No details of these English sides are mentioned in ABC Sevilla’s report.

Mundo Deportivo have a short update on the Whites’ effort to sign the Spaniard.

According to the Catalan newspaper, the fullback is far away from Sevilla’ after his situation took a ‘radical turn in recent hours’.

Mundo once again echo claims made by ABC Sevilla regarding the player’s new release clause of €4m and add Galán ‘already has his suitcases ready’, and is ‘ready to sign’ for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

This would indicate Galán’s move to Leeds could be concluded soon and if the deal goes through, he will take Ezgjan Alioski’s place at Elland Road. The North Macedonian will leave Leeds as a free agent this summer.
