Marc Roca was much heralded when he moved from Espanyol to Bayern Munich in 2020, with many expecting him to go on and become one of the best midfielders in Europe.
For various reasons it didn’t work out at the Bundesliga club, and just under a year ago Roca made the switch to Leeds United. Things didn’t go too badly in terms of game time with the Premier League club, but Roca didn’t quite have the impact many were hoping for.
With Leeds United now relegated to the Championship, Roca is one of a number of players being linked with a move elsewhere this summer.
Surprisingly, one of the links is with Barcelona.
That’s brought by Fichajes who say the midfielder is one of the options being considered to replace Sergio Busquets. Of course, Roca would be much cheaper than many other options for the position.
Such a move would be hugely fortunate for the 26-year-old, and there’s a chance that any Barcelona interest dates back to his spell with their city rivals Espanyol.
