Leeds United and Fulham have been linked with Fenerbahce attacker Michy Batshuayi in recent weeks, but it’s looking like he will remain in Istanbul according to claims in the Turkish media.
The Belgium international has been in impressive form this season for Fener which has brought him to the attention of both Leeds United and Fulham. Leeds United in particular were said to be in transfer talks to sign the former Chelsea man and it was thought that a deal could be done if they secured promotion to the Premier League.
However, Fotomac have claimed that Fenerbahce are looking to activate a clause in his contract which will keep him at the club for another season.
His contract was due to expire next month, which encouraged the reports of interest from the two English clubs. Even today, Fotomac mention Leeds United’s and Fulham’s interest in the player.
Batshuayi has been in impressive form this season for the Yellow Canaries which has helped keep them in the title chase going into the final games of the season. He’s scored 23 goals in 40 games for the Super Lig side.
