According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are looking to step up their efforts to sign Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutch international joined the Merseyside club last summer, but has struggled to hold down a regular place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven.

Aspor have reported on the latest developments regarding Galatasaray’s pursuit of Gravenberch and they say the Turkish side are ready to sit down with Liverpool officials with regards to signing the Dutchman.

The Turkish news outlet say signing the central midfielder will ‘make history’ and that Galatasaray are prepared to break their transfer record to bring in the 21 year old.

Gravenberch has been linked with a move to Istanbul in recent weeks as Gala look to strengthen their squad in the summer. It’s expected the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Tete and Nicolò Zaniolo will leave the club and this will help Cimbom to raise the funds to sign the Liverpool player.

The former Ajax man has made 22 Premier League appearances this season and has started just 12 of those games. He’s contracted to Liverpool until June 2028, and if the Super Lig get their way he won’t be seeing that out.
