Leeds United defender Max Wöber already ‘has to think about his future’ at the club as there is no guarantee the decision to bring in Sam Allardyce will keep them in the Premier League.

That’s according to Austrian journalist Peter Linden, who believes his compatriot may need to seek a move away from Leeds this summer despite only arriving in the January transfer window.

The Whites confirmed Allardyce as their new manager yesterday after deciding to roll the dice and go for their third appointment of the season for the last four games of the campaign.

They had started with Jesse Marsch but he was sacked at the beginning of February and brought in Javi Gracia as his replacement, but he managed just 12 games in charge before the club’s management elected for a change after the heavy defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend.

It is now on Allardyce to keep Leeds up in the remaining games, although whether he is able to do so is highly debatable given how they’ve performed in recent weeks.

Either way a big summer is on the cards for the club and Linden believes Wöber is one of those who seriously need to consider their future.

“Leeds legionnaire Max Wöber also has to think about his future,” he said.

“On Tuesday he got his third coach in five months. In January it was Jesse Marsch, whom he already knew from Red Bull Salzburg.

“In February it was the Spaniard Javier Gracia, who had to leave four rounds before the end. It looks more like relegation than staying in the league.”
