As Leeds United continue to be without a manager, there is a bit of uneasiness at Elland Road, especially when many expected Daniel Farke to be announced by now.

However, these delays have led to the links to Régis Le Bris to re-emerge, as the FC Lorient manager is still butting heads with his president over in France.

The latest on the manager’s situation comes fro Ouest-France, after Mohamed Toubache-TER reported on Saturday that Leeds were trying once again to prise him away from the Ligue 1 side.

With the first day of pre-season taking place in Brittany on Monday, many expected Le Bris to show up, but that hasn’t been the case.

Ouest-France recall that the Lorient manager told his president, Loïc Féry, back in May that he wanted to leave the club because of ‘multiple observed problems’, but the ‘door was double locked’ by the club as he has four years left on his contract.

As things stand, on Monday, ‘the differences are still not sorted’ as the manager has not ‘set foot at the club’ and his contacts with the board are ‘very minimalistic’.

While the first two days don’t technically need the manager there, as they are based around the medicals of the players, there is still no ‘official communication’ from Lorient regarding a press conference from either the manager or the president.

Ouest-France don’t mention the Leeds interest but it’s clear that with all the discord currently taking place at the Ligue 1 side, now could be the best time to strike if they decide to go with Le Bris over Farke.
