Leeds United, Sunderland and Norwich City are all in the picture to sign Burnley’s Manuel Benson this summer, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that the 27-year-old is ‘about to leave’ Burnley.

When discussing the winger’s suitors, Leeds, Sunderland and Norwich are mentioned.

Leeds have shown ‘huge interest’ in the player. Tavolieri adds Daniel Farke’s side are in ongoing discussions, likely with Burnley, over signing Benson on a permanent deal.

Sunderland and Norwich could tussle with the Whites for the attacker’s signature. Tavolieri says the Canaries are likely to consider a move if Jonathan Rowe were to leave..

The Norwich City player is also on Leeds’ radar, but Marseille are reportedly confident of beating them to the 21-year-old.

The journalist claims ‘personal terms won’t be a problem’.

Leeds’ interest in the Belgium-born Angola international isn’t new. They tried to sign him in the winter market, but former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany convinced him to snub the Whites.

Benson was restricted to 137 minutes of action from nine games for Burnley last season. The player could enjoy more game time if he were to join Leeds, Sunderland or Norwich City.
