Leeds United and Southampton are interested in Brest’s Romain Perraud.
That’s what Le10 Sport are reporting about the left-back who signed a new contract with the Ligue 1 side on Friday.
Perraud’s new deal will tie him to the French club until 2025 and even after signing an extension, his long-term future is ‘not certain’ to be written at Brest.
Lyon are also interested in the 23-year-old as they have been actively following the player for several weeks.
However, it’s from England the interest is ‘most concrete’, where the Whites and Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side are named as suitors.
It’s claimed the two Premier League clubs have ‘already made contact’ with both Brest and the fullback’s entourage.
Leeds and Southampton are ‘here’, concretely positioning and preparing themselves for an approach in the summer.
Marcelo Bielsa ‘wants’ Perraud, who has been a ‘revelation’ in Ligue 1 this season, scoring three goals and registering five assists in 20 appearances.
Earlier this month, Le10 Sport reported Everton have included Perraud in their list of transfer targets.
Leeds and Southampton have now joined the Toffees and the list will only increase if the Frenchman continues to shine for Brest.
