António Dias is set to leave Nottingham Forest and become Jose Mourinho’s new assistant at Fenerbahçe.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who reports that Dias is making the move to Turkey from Nottingham Forest this summer.
Mourinho has been on the hunt for a new assistant manager early in this summer, with reports in Turkey explaining that he plans to change his backroom staff up after his first season in Turkey.
He brought six people with him to the club when appointed last summer but wants to change things up this year after a disappointing first year at the club.
Reports in Turkey had stated that he was looking in the Premier League for next assistant and that appears to be in Nottingham Forest.
According to Sabuncuoğlu he has now completed the appointment of António Dias as his new assistant manager. Dias, 42, had been Nuno Espirito Santo’s assistant at Nottingham Forest since 2023.
Before that he had worked in various roles, including as a fitness coach under Jose Mourinho for 55 games at Porto. He then joined Nuno as a fitness coach at Wolves, before moving with him to Tottenham, Al-Ittihad and then Nottingham Forest.
