Woyo Coulibaly joined Leicester City from Parma in the last January window. After a difficult few months, he left for Sassuolo in the summer.

It was a dry loan deal, and so far this season he’s played only seven times in Serie A. Sassuolo are impressing but the Mali international has barely made a mark.

Things got worse at the start of AFCON, as it emerged that he forced his way there at a time there were fitness doubts. This didn’t impress many at Sassuolo and now a return to Leicester City is possible.

Tuttomercatoweb report that all parties are considering terminating Coulibaly’s loan stint in January.

Leicester City’s approval is yet to arrive but talks are likely to take place. Attempts will be made to convince the Foxes to take their player back.

The 26-year-old is not part of the plans at the King Power anymore. As a result, he will be loaned out again once he returns, with Sassuolo already looking around to sign a new right-back.

Coulibaly’s move to the Neroverdi was motivated by a willingness to get more game time. Those attempts have failed and he will now have to seek a new destination right after AFCON.
