On Sunday, Everton suffered a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United in Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League game in charge at Old Trafford.
A brace from Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee saw the Toffees suffer their second defeat in last nine league games. During that period, Everton have scored just six goals and failed to find the back of the net since their 1-1 draw against Fulham on October 26th.
After the Merseyside club’s latest defeat, Viaplay in Denmark had a chat with Everton’s Jesper Lindstrøm and his comments are relayed by Camp.dk.
Manchester United’s Amad Diallo forced two individual errors from Everton players, which directly resulted in two of the Red Devils’ goals. The 24-year-old insists these sorts of mistakes make it hard for Sean Dyche’s side to win matches.
Everton are without a win in the last five league games and the attacking midfielder didn’t hold back when citing the reason for their recent results. The Denmark international has also explained what the English club have to do to sort it out.
“It’s always a problem when we don’t score goals. You can’t keep United from scoring goals, so we’ll have to create some ourselves. We don’t do that, and then it’s difficult to win football matches,” he said.
“I feel that we have opportunities and come up with some good chances. It’s as if we’re missing the last pass or finish.”
Everton are 11th in the table, two points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are in the 18th spot.
