Ollie Watkins has impressed for Aston Villa this season and his form helped him get in the England squad for this month’s international break.
The striker has scored seven goals and registered four assists from 13 games and that’s seen him draw interest from other clubs, including AC Milan.
That’s according to intermediary and scout, Michele Fratini, and he made this claim to Rai, relayed by MilanNews24.
“The Rossoneri are among the clubs interested [in Watkins],” he said, without providing any additional details.
Fratini mentioned the Villans star to Rai when discussing the players Milan could bring in.
Last month, Spazio Milan stated the Rossoneri’s negotiations for the England international were at the ‘embryonic stage’.
Earlier this month, the 27-year-old signed a new deal until 2028 and this would make it difficult for Milan to take him away from the Villans.
Recent claims have talked about Arsenal interest in the player, who spent three years at Brentford between 2017 and 2020. During his time with the Bees, Watkins had revealed that it’s his “long-term” goal to play for the Gunners.
